October, you sexy beast

What is with this month that makes one want to wear scarves and infuse all foods with pumpkin pie spice? I walked to the post office today sweating my head off all because I wanted to wear my autumn toque. The ladies in Paris go bonkers the day the new boots arrive. It's all we can talk about. I get very girly in October. In Paris, they don't use horrid loud leaf blowers. They rake up every leaf with a giant rake.
