Best brunch in Paris

The French aren't exactly brunch or breakfast people, which is surprising when they are the inventors of la quiche and l'omelet.

Generally, you'll see a Parisian ordering an espresso with a croissant.

I've acquired a nice little group of brunch buddies. My possé of pals have spent many Sundays searching out the best brunch places in Paris. There aren't many (so please stop requesting egg breakfasts from your friends in Paris when you visit), but these are my top 3:

Joe Allan

30 Rue Pierre Lescot, 75001 Paris

The Eggs Benedict. Be still my heart for two reasons. They taste great and they are likely loaded with butter.

Eggs & Co.

11 rue Bernard Palissy, 75006 ParisThey don't make you make that tough decision between eggs and pancakes. You get it all. You waddle out and don't eat for three days afterward but it's worth it.

Tournbride

104 rue Mouffetard, 75005 Paris

The brunch special is bunch of small doses of eggs, vegetables, salmon, beef, dessert, bread and croissant. There is something for both the sweet and savory sides of self. And it's all yummy. Nice atmosphere, too. See for yourself:
