Brie & Baguette Notecards and Journals
Oh my stars they have arrived! My brand spankin’ new set of notecards and journals have been published. They are BEAUTIFULLLLLL.
They were published through Chronicle Books, home of extremely good looking presents made from paper. Oh the books, the journals, the note cards! They are incredible and I’m thrilled to be partnering with them.
I approached Chronicle in the summer of 2024, after I gave myself a week of staring off into the middle distance to think up the next publishing project. Inside that middle distance I thought, Gosh I really want a fancy box for my notecards. And here we are in 2026. A stunning sturdy box housing a deliciously delectable set of notecards. So pretty. So fun. So many! There are 20 cards in the set.
A generous feast for the eyes.
We even designed elegant blue envelopes to go with the watercolour paintings of French food. Pinching myself with glee. Is this really happening?!
The designs are all French foods… desserts, fruits, coffees, breads and cheeses.
They were fun to paint and afterward I could eat the subject matter.
Then there are the journals. Two journals wrapped with a string and tag just like they would be in a French market. I mean c’mon! How great is this to give as a gift? “Tied up with string… these are a few of my favourite things…”
One of the journals features French cheese. The other features French breads. Together they are sandwiched in blue twine just as if you ordered them up from a charming boulangerie on a Paris street.
Here is a funny little unboxing over on Instagram:
Check it out here at my Instagram world.
They were sold out in the pre-order on Amazon for a time (amazing and thank you!) but now there are more available as the launch date is coming up on February 3rd so you can grab yours if you haven’t already.
I’m so flippin’ thrilled with this wee little dream come true. Notecards with Chronicle Books! 2026 is finally here and so are the cards and journals.

PS Thanks everyone for your kind words after my sad little post in December. Grief is a whimpery thing, but when good friends show up with solid support, even if it’s just to say that they’ve experienced something similar… WOW… Just WOW.

A few bits of the letter:
“The thistles I planted in summer are the stars of the show now. Great towering stalks crusted with frost. When the morning sun hits, they shimmer like magic wands.”
"Some of the most beautiful things worth having in your life come wrapped in a crown of thorns."
