By now I’ve completed nearly 100 Paris Letters. *Self pats self on shoulder.* But very few people have seen them all and almost no one has seen them in colour. All that is about to change. I’ll now be posting the archive in the shop, and telling the visual story of a few of them here on the blog.
It’s about time. Geezus.
No kidding. I also added the best of the best here for visual candy. A perfect treat for 4 pm in cubicle land.
First up is the Calligraphy Paris Letter. I stopped by Mélodies Graphiques at 10, Rue du Pont Louis-Philippe in Paris to pick up a fountain pen. The proprietor, M. de Tugny was a delight. His boutique was a feast for the eyes. Pretty papers and journals lined the walls, and in the middle of the room was a large table with every kind of pen imaginable.
After picking up a few supplies, I zipped off to a café to write a letter. Naturellement.
If you feel so inclined, you can purchase this letter over at my shop. It’s #3 on the Chinese menu. I posted 53 letters in the same listing. Pick your number when you order. *I ain’t got all day to list 53 items bay-geezus.* Yours will be personally addressed to you. Or if it’s a gift for a calligraphy-loving friend, let me know and I’ll personalize it for him or her.
Bonus: I found this great article at Grey Magazine about the delightful shop. Complete with more pretty photos.
