Paris Letters Stationery: Notre Dame
If you click on the art below or drag it to your desktop you should be able to download it. Then print that baby out in full pink glory and write a letter to someone who could use some fun mail.
This is the letter I wrote to Aine with this stationery back in 2013:
And here it is again when it appeared in the book:
Little known fact:
The publisher wasn’t going to add the actual Paris Letters to the book. Can you imagine? I insisted as I felt they were integral to telling the story. The compromise was that they would be in the book but in black and white.
C’est la vie.
Since then, I’ve been so very blessed to have lovely reviews about Paris Letters. The numero uno criticism was that the letters weren’t in colour. Each time I’ve read a review like this I’ve screamed “I know!” And fell in love with that reviewer a little more.
Something about being understood.
So now you know. It was either black and white or nothing.
The cover went through a few rounds, too. I liked them all but a certain massive book seller wouldn’t distribute the book until they approved the cover. Who knew bookstores had such pull. But hey, they know more than anyone that you can judge a book by its cover.
Another little known fact was that Paris Letters was originally going to be a book about saving up cash to quit your job. I was, after all, a self-help book writer so I figured I’d be writing another self-help book. I hadn’t even begun to think about the letters themselves being the focus of the book until I went to the Carmel Retreat: A book writer’s paradise. Instead of talking about saving up I raved about my new boyfriend, my hot Paris romance and my super fun letter writing service.
Lesson learned: Write what you want to talk about.
Keep this in mind when you write your own letter with the Paris Letters stationery. For more Paris Letters stationery you can visit my shop. I’ve got three other designs up there so far. Download them instantly, print, write, send and be merry.
