Imagine being good at making, oh say, cream puffs. You’re so good at this one dessert that you decide you’re going to open a café and just serve cream puffs, tea and coffee. That’s it. One dessert.
And it works.
This is Odette. The charming little café at 77 rue galande in Paris. They serve one thing: cream puffs, topped with little icing berets. And they serve it oh so well.
I was so delighted by Odette that I whipped up a watercolour for my shop. No letter here. Just the original watercolour. Sometimes there are no words, which is exactly how I felt when I tasted the cream puff. Mon Dieu!
There isn’t really a watermark in the original. That’s just one of those things that one must do over at the shop. Alors. C’est comme ça.
