It has been a strange couple of weeks. Plenty of surprises and delights since PARIS LETTERS launched. Plenty of lovely words. Plenty of wondering what the heck is going on with the book. So, without further adieu, I present my crazed online stalking of… myself.
First, we’re in second place.
Second, we’re in second and sixth.
Third, I’m nipping at the heels of the red book while it’s nipping at mine.
We’re doing the same over in another section on Amazon.
Finally, PARIS LETTERS pulls ahead to take the lead.
Also, Chatelaine published a big, beautiful article.
Then two things happened:
1. I got a slew of subscriptions for the letters over at my shop. Thanks for supporting your not-so-local artist.
2. I got a slew of emails from those who couldn’t find the book anywhere in Canada because it SOLD OUT. More are on the way. Hang in there my fellow Canadians. Soothe yourselves by stroking your Olympic medals.
After popping a bunch of new letters in the mail, I popped into a neighborhood bistro and ran into one of my Paris Letters.
Had a party over at Chez Melanie (the same character as from the book) for a little book launch soirée.
And now we’re back to the usual: Walking, talking and dreaming.
By the way…
Join me in a Facebook chat tonight (Tuesday March 4) at 6 pm EST. You can access the chat by going to: https://www.facebook.com/sourcebooks/app_181184391902159 and logging in using your Facebook or Twitter account. It will be midnight for me so I hope to be eloquent.
Library Journal came out with a lovely review. “In a similar vein to Under the Tuscan Sun or Eat, Pray, Love… Recommended for those who enjoy similar travel memoirs and the romance of Paris.”
A few days ago:
PARIS LETTERS came out in the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Paris. I found the book at my local WHSmith.
Now, back to the drawing board… or Amazon.
