Paris is always showing off. Just when I think I’ve crossed everything off in my guide book, I discover more.
My most recent discovery was passages and galleries of Paris. These are streets built around the early 1900s. They were covered with a glass canopy to protect shoppers from the rain and cold. Of course, this also protected the shops themselves. Now when you stroll through this maze of corridors, you can find the most marvelous trinkets and architectural details of a bygone era. You’ll also find a hotel, a lecture hall, restaurants, bookstores, vintage stamp shops, and and and…
Well, my point is that I took PLENTY of photos.
The latest and greatest news:
1. My new book is out Feb 4. PARIS LETTERS, my memoir of becoming an artist in Paris, is out in the USA and Canada on February 4, 2014. That’s soon! Pre-orders help the cause tremendously. In fact, it helps more than if you buy the book the day AFTER it comes out. Analytics and all that.
2. I’m also on a blog tour. Check the dates and come back often. More are added each day, like the most recent addition: National Geographic.
